From America, Oct 1948: Beer ad from Budweiser «It lives with good taste everywhere»
An advertisement promoting Budweiser beer and Fred Harvey's restaurants and hotels. The image features a vintage scene of people arriving at a Fred Harvey establishment via train, with a focus on how both Budweiser and Fred Harvey contributed to a good and unique experience on the American frontier.

It lives with good taste everywhere

On time or late, travelers in the '70's could count upon one thing with absolute certainty. Their meals along the way would be the worst imaginable. In 1876, young Fred Harvey opened his first restaurant in Topeka and astounded patrons with tempting dishes excellently cooked and superbly served. Soon Harvey hotels and restaurants followed Santa Fe rails across half a continent. Then came the dining car making train passengers in America the best fed on Earth.
In that same year of 1876, Budweiser came into being and quickly took its rightful place beside the best that cooking skill had to offer. As yesterday, so today, every sip tells you why it is something more than beer-a tradition in hospitality.

What's found only in Jell-O? That "locked-in" Jell-O Flavor!

Tighter belts will be worn for some time in America.
And very nice they will look, too. They'll be the badge of well-informed, patriotic people who know how seriously food is needed now to secure the peace.

Which means that when they do appear, they surely ought to be made to go far and look beautiful!

even customize that sound to
fit the program that you're
watching.

Add a 32-function remote
control. As well as on-screen
graphics that can help you to
make precise adjustments to
your bass, treble and sound
balance. And a full jack panel
that lets you plug in anything
from a VCR to most personal

From America, Oct 1944: Pliofilm ad from Goodyear (+Oranges; Grapefruit; Celery; Apples; Corn on Cob; Cabbage; Broccoli; Avocados; Bakery Goods; Meats; Soups; Pharmaceuticals; Chemicals; Tobacco; Precision Instruments; Cables; Raincoats; Shower Curtains; and Umbrellas)
An advertisement for Pliofilm, a product used for packaging foods and other items. It highlights its ability to keep food fresh, emphasizing post-war availability. The advertisement contains an image of a tomato being held by a person.

“Was my face red - for a whole month!

ELIEVE it or not, this handsome
tomato was picked red-ripe from the
vine-30 long days ago!
Yet it's kept its garden freshness, and
plumpness, and fine flavor and vitamins all
that time. You can take the word of the
University of Florida's Agricultural
Experiment Station for that!
You see it was harvest-wrapped in PLIOFILM
-that marvelous, new, transparent,
moistureproof, spoilageproof wrapping
material that seals in nature's goodness
and seals out nature's gremlins.
Some day-as soon as the war's over-you'll be able to get
ruby-red, vine-ripened tomatoes just like that from your
own market-all year round. And lots of other fine, fresh,
field and orchard products too-oranges, grapefruit, celery,
apples, corn on the cob, cabbage, broccoli, avocados. As
well as many other good things to eat-bakery goods, meats,
soups and so on. All flavor-fresh-wrapped in PLIOFILM.
Right now, PLIOFILM is doing a grand war job-there's
none left over for us civilians. But, there'll be plenty as
soon as Victory is won-to help bring farm-side freshness
to our tables!
Pliofilm is not just for foods alone. It has
literally thousands of applications as
low-cost protection for pharmaceuticals, chemicals,
tobacco, precision instruments, cables and all
moisture-sensitive products, as well as in the manu-.
facture of raincoats, shower curtains and umbrellas.

From America, Oct 1967: Color Portable Television ad from Panasonic «The color portable for people who are still nervous about color.»
An advert for a color portable television that aims to alleviate concerns about investing in color television, showcasing the features and benefits of the set. It emphasizes reliability, clarity, and technology designed to prevent common issues such as magnetic distortion and picture loss. The design and ease of use of the product are highlighted.

The color portable for people who are still nervous about color.

We know just how you feel.
There you are finally getting up the nerve
to consider color, and here we are
telling you not only to buy color-but
buy portable color.
We have good reason for telling
you this. You see we make the finest
color portable around and we can prove it.
We're proud to say that our portable
set is right up there with the heaviest.
This is not a drawback.
Every extra ounce is there for good
reason. Our set has 63 Solid State devices.
We use them instead of a lot of tubes that
wear out, burn out, or cause you problems.
So reliability goes up. The need for
service goes down.
Panasonic also has something called
a fourth IF stage.
Don't let the term scare you. It's just
technical mumbo jumbo that means our set
gives you more detail and clarity.
There's an extra electronic circuit
that keeps airplanes, cars, electric
razors and other things from bugging you.
There's even a little gizmo that tells
you when color is being broadcast...so you
don't jump out of your chair every time
the picture turns black and white.
Plus automatic degaussing which gets
rid of magnetic distortion that messes
up your picture. You know... the kind of
thing that probably made you nervous
about color in the first place.
It's quite a set. It's called the
Buckingham, model CT-61P. And it's
all put together in a streamlined cabinet
that's beautifully designed to fit in
perfectly wherever you put it.
Sure you won't be able to lift it
with your pinky, but you can lug it around
pretty easily and when you put it down
and turn it on you'll see the kind of
beautiful color...
