a eastern copperhead coiled one and a half times around facing away from the camera. It has a tan body that gets lighter towards the underside, with darker brown triangular "hershey kiss" patterning repeating along its length. The end of its tail is a lime green color. It is very cute.

A large burnished orange ant-like insect with 2 yellowish spots on its abdomen with very blocky proportions sitting on the edge if a rock embedded in dry muddy gravel.

a closer look at the insect, fine hairs can be seen on its body, hence where they get the name velvet ant.

tris have yellow around their eye, which is red. Little blues are much more muted colors with grays and pale eyes and dull colored beaks. Little blues also have solid dark blue and maroon on their neck. This guy def has alot those deep colors that a little blue also has but the face and neck are key

Looking up at an arrowhead orbweaver. A spider with a large yellow rounded triangular abdomen that is black on the edges. Its 4 front legs are partially stretched out to hold on to a narrow stick. They are dark in the middle of each segment but sunlight illuminates them near the joints with an amber color. Behind the spider is a dark green blur of a tree canopy.

A tall triangular shaped white moth, the outer edges of its wings are black, and there is another black line down the middle edge where its wings tough as well. 2 more unorderly black lines cross the the lower parts of ots wings. It is clinging to the fuzzy leaves of a mint plant.

A tiny orange-yellow moth the shape of a wide triangle. It has pink dot and 2 parallel pink stripes on the lower edges of its wings, and 2 gently curved back antennae. It is sitting on the leaflets of a fern frond.
