Though, next time I'll just look into therapy instead of moving to the literal opposite end of the country to try to fight my slump.

But because i lacked this experience, living rent free with my parents for 36 years until i moved out here i didn't quite grasp myself fully. I was never quite able to figure out what i wanted and in some ways i still don't, but the picture is clearer. This adventure wasn't a waste.

I had, as everyone must of course, to get a job, any job I could. Unfortunately I landed one that was everything I hated about retail, except my boss and coworkers were cool. Because my hours were awkward i just had to give up on most things that made me happy. Not unique to me, of course.

About a year and a half ago I moved away from my family, and the city I grew up in to see how i could get on on my own. I moved all the way to Las Vegas. Now as that chapter comes to a close and I find myself moving back home I feel sad even though this adventure wasn't fully ideal.

Went to an orthopedic surgeon to get checked out properly and the results are that the break is clean with no deviation and should heal fine. I don't need surgery or a cast, nor so I even need to wear my sling while inactive. Good news all around, just can't lift much.

What an interesting weekend. Had an accident on my bike on the way to work which has left me banged up and with a broken arm. and if that's not bad enough, since i couldn't secure my bike before being taken to the hospital it was stolen before a friend could secure it. So that's cool /s

Hey, gamer! Upset about Playstation fading out physical media? Feeling smug about being PC first? Remember the issue isn't about physical media. It's DRM-locked software. Your steam/epic library isn't safe, either! Purchase games as executable files! Download them to your computer! Back them up!

So the red orb actually has the power to copy enemy abilities, which you do by grabbing onto an enemy, in this case an evil cube. You then perform a fishing minigame, the bar moves when you pull back against the enemy. The godot logo, is of course, a placeholder icon.

The capsule now has a friend! This part isn't done really, but the initial behavior I want is working so I thought I'd show it off. The red ball will be the most complicated thing I have to design, so far, with what I want it to do. For now it just floats, and attaches to specific objects.

Phantom Camera is something I've used in the past and am fairly comfortable implementing it, some part of me thought that I needed to make a version from scratch for legitimacy. I need to remember to not reinvent the wheel when I don't have to. At least I learned a lot in the time I spent.

010

Sweettooth, the FearfulPiñata @fearfulpinata.bsky.social · 20/04/2026

Continuing on! I tried to make my own camera switching system, but it became kind of a mess so I opted to use a Godot add-on called Phantom Camera that had the functionality I was after built into it. I still had to modify the add-on a little to behave exactly like I wanted even so.

"Overhated" and "Underrated" are completely meaningless words to me so those were tricky to decide on "Overrated" usually falls into that category, but I just do not get the hype for Elden Ring, and I love the Soulsborne series Also you can tell my taste is all over the place with this grid
