Oh hey, I haven't done one of these in a while! #StreamSchedule twitch.tv/fearfulpinata

So the red orb actually has the power to copy enemy abilities, which you do by grabbing onto an enemy, in this case an evil cube. You then perform a fishing minigame, the bar moves when you pull back against the enemy. The godot logo, is of course, a placeholder icon.

The capsule now has a friend! This part isn't done really, but the initial behavior I want is working so I thought I'd show it off. The red ball will be the most complicated thing I have to design, so far, with what I want it to do. For now it just floats, and attaches to specific objects.

Continuing on! I tried to make my own camera switching system, but it became kind of a mess so I opted to use a Godot add-on called Phantom Camera that had the functionality I was after built into it. I still had to modify the add-on a little to behave exactly like I wanted even so.

Screw it, I'm making a video game. Here's a little capsule running and jumping around a flat plane, this is his home. More to follow, maybe. I guess this counts as a dev log?

"Overhated" and "Underrated" are completely meaningless words to me so those were tricky to decide on "Overrated" usually falls into that category, but I just do not get the hype for Elden Ring, and I love the Soulsborne series Also you can tell my taste is all over the place with this grid

Had a fun weekend spending way too much money on lanyard decorations at LVFC

Sweettooth, the FearfulPiñata @fearfulpinata.bsky.social · 10/02/2026

Have real life responsibilities to take care of on my days off, and also I'm sick, so not much streaming done this week

I forgot how much I like Dwarf Fortress - more like a Kobold Fortress! And Thursday we continue Enshrouded

I didn't realize I'd be finishing Pacific Drive today... Quick pivot for tomorrow, we'll be playing Dwarf Fortress with a Twitch integration mod! Also Thursday night another friend confirmed to join us, @enternamehere42.bsky.social!

Not feeling up to playing anything story focused, so we'll have a potentially chill time with a Minecraft modpack. A sequel to a pack I played once when I used to stream on YouTube, which I did like a lot so hopefully it's a fun time!

Unfortunately, Final Fantasy Tactics wasn't clicking with me, so I replaced it with more Death Stranding

Sweettooth, the FearfulPiñata @fearfulpinata.bsky.social · 06/10/2025

Another week of deliveries and strategy with Death Stranding and Final Fantasy Tactics!

Oh yeah, I guess I should do this self advertising schedule thing. I keep banishing myself to the Final Fantasy mines, but this one is a bit different. Oh and we're continuing Death Stranding.

Got carded at a restaurant today after ordering alcohol and the server noticed it was my birthday on my ID. So without anyone asking, at the end of the meal they brought out a scoop of ice cream on a plate with "Happy Birthday" written on it, and that was really nice.

A plate with a single scoop of ice cream covered in cornflakes and granola and a single blown out candle sticking out of it. On the plate is written "Happy Birthday" in chocolate, and clear sugar icing

I may have a slight obsession with making myself from scratch periodically. It's hard to avoid that itch when I look at my current model and know "I can do better" the cycle will probably repeat again and again. For now I can comfortably say this is my best work (so far)

Model upgrade time! I wouldn't call it 'finished' because I keep tweaking it, but it's definitely presentable now, so I may as well share it.
