President Trump’s attempts to interfere with the Fed and fire Lisa Cook are nothing more than a political witch hunt. Lisa was cleared of these baseless allegations, and this is yet another attempt by the president to push the limits of his power. Our economy needs steady stewardship, not politics.

“As President, it is my job to ensure the laws are faithfully executed, including by firing subordinates who cannot be trusted to tell the truth and follow the law,” he wrote in a memo.

If a community chooses to build a data center, it should be the companies the bear the costs — not hardworking families.

People deserve to have their voices heard in any discussion on proposed data centers. I am working on a data center Bill of Rights to ensure people have a seat at the table in the decision-making process and are not footing the check for any projects in their communities.

President Trump is living in a bubble. People have real concerns about what data centers could do to their communities. We need federal guardrails that make sure people are heard and they are not forced to foot the bill for these projects.

As Michiganders struggle to afford gas, groceries, or healthcare, they are also picking up the tab for Trump's tariffs.   Michigan's economy has taken a $23 BILLION hit because of these tariffs. That's an average of almost $6,000 per household. And it’s more than any other state.
