I followed a lot of people when I came to Bsky. I wanted to have a vibrant art community and it didn't matter much if their art was appealing to me or not. But I draw the line on hateful imagery and the genderbent character from the wizard books counts as hateful to me.

A thing that calms my soul a bit during hard political times is reading anything communist. Many of you are already familiar with the literature, but just in case any of you has never read a thing, I recommend starting with this book. It's short and easy to follow. I hope it comforts you too.

A lot of people have been trying to guess the artists that inspire my work and they usually get it wrong because I'm not as familiar with American comic book artists as everyone else. I mean, I know some artists, but you people clearly know a lot more. Hero comics were too expensive for me as a kid.

It must be noted that although I'm a diehard Super Metroid fan, it wasn't a childhood game nor my first Metroid game. I played it in my 20s and my first Metroid was Prime 3 on the Wii. I didn't understand shit, but the back of her armor was very pretty.

This is VERY true. But it doesn't really bother me anymore. It's just a part of getting older. The trends keep changing and not every trend is gonna hit. I have found joy in new takes of old favorites. I like DOOM Eternal, Metroid Dread and Resident Evil 7. They are their own thing.
