I was the absolute BEST parent before I had kids. The way I had everything all figured out. Zero screen time, no juice, organic veggies, kids that would have patience and an attention span... My goodness. None of those things worked out the way I thought they would 😂

Listening to a book about economic development and about the Luddite movement, or folks against the automation of textile manufacturing. Now knitting, crocheting, sewing, etc., is most commonly a hobby (and a delightful one at that). Now I'm wondering when coding by hand will just be a hobby.

Slow down frontier model development. Bring open weights to current frontier. Build out local inference providers, stabilize hardware prices, focus on cost and token throughput for a bit. Get our software updated to handle what's being thrown at us. I would not mind spending a beat on distribution.

I think we need a "PDS as a Service". There are a bunch of little apps I'd love to make, but I don't want to have to host a PDS for each of them for anyone who doesn't already have an account. But I'd be fine with allowing them to register to a PDS with my app's domain and pay a fee per sign up.
