Yes, as noted…. this is the highest ridership since the pandemic. The fact we used to have 400k is why we are facing a fiscal cliff.

During FY26, BART completed 98 miles of track grinding and surfacing, added three new substations and four portable substations, increasing power capacity from Colma to Downtown Oakland by 30%, upgraded eight stations with new LED lighting, and completed three station glow-ups.

BART is performing rail destressing between Lafayette and Pleasant Hill stations at midnight tonight. To create a safe work space for our crews, BART will reduce service from two tracks to one while the work is taking place. Riders can anticipate delays of 20-25 minutes.
