There's a deep problem that i have with talking about identity because most people think about it with labels, and though i can use a lot of labels to get an idea across, there will always be a fundamental issue in how talk of those labels will be perceived hierarchically by the relation of order.

If you have not seen the 1997 Japanese horror film Cure, i highly recommend it. Stands alone at a peculiar intersection of the themes of memory, identity, alchemy, power, gender... very reminiscent of Silence of the Lambs, but not derivative in any but the best ways.
