Even for those who are "safe" in SoCal right now, my heart is with you. The mental and emotional toll, the air quality, the extreme worry, and the totalizing nature of this is awful. (And please stop jumping into mentions about what Americans are doing abroad. I KNOW, hate it & it is whataboutism.)

Gus, the animals, and I are safe. Thank you to everyone who checked in. Unfortunately, we found out this morning that my cousin's house burned down. Many of our friends have had to evacuate. If you have the means to support, this article has some good places to donate. www.kqed.org/news/1202115...

My dog, Petey, decided randomly that he no longer likes his food and that he wants to eat people food instead. So now I have to gaslight him every morning by pretending to put spices on his food and take it out of the microwave so he’ll eat it.

You should always be kind and understanding to grocery staff. But especially more so today. Last minute pre-holiday rush is insane. If you think you’re stressed imagine how they’re feeling. Be patient. Be understanding. Most of all, don’t be a dick.

I learned today that the Aerosmith song, "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing" is based on a real thing that Barbra Streisand's husband, James Brolin, said to her and that is just fills me with so much joy. www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjFE...

I’ve been bingeing Mythic Quest for the past few days and it’s such a wonderful comedy that occasionally punches you right in the face with feeling. Those flashback episodes are breathtakingly good.

I can't decide what was more fun, watching The Taylor Swift concert movie, or seeing all of the little girls dancing unapologetically and joyfully in front.

My husband wanted no animals and I wanted animals, so we compromised and got three animals.

Today I tried to pitch @smartbitches.bsky.social on watching Wheel of Time by quoting that angry guy who called it "just strong-jawed middle-aged women talking about their feelings" and I feel like the show is gonna owe him royalties, it's a good pitch!!! 🤣

I’m new to Blue Sky, but would love to interact with #screenwriters on here and anyone who digs #thehungergames or #wheeloftime…

Our dog, Petey, has an ear infection and refuses to take the medication. So I now have to set alarms for me to sneak attack him while he’s sleeping to pour the drops in his ear and it’s really giving Hamlet.
