I told myself a variation of it by saying "it's not like he hits me or anything" and "he's just concerned for my safety" and "what if I AM overreacting?". "A relationship IS about compromise even if I don't like it, right?" Among MANY other lies I told myself while I was trying to survive.

(3/3) You might get frustrated or angry or sad after a while of just being blown off. You might even ask "do they even care about hanging out?" or "do they even care about me?". That happens when you keep "canceling plans" with yourself all the time too. It just might not be super obvious at first.

(1/3) Keep in mind, I am not a professional, experiences vary from person to person and this is only speaking from my experience. But I find that the anger and irritability come up when I push my own needs aside too much. It might not even be on purpose. I might just be busy with something else.

Had a dream last night that someone opened up a cage full of ferrets for me to play with and then afterward, gave me some sort of energy drink and a computer chair to ride my hyper ass around on inside a huge, super cool tree house. Then I played with my cat. No complaints, brain. I had fun. 🤣
