An anonymous Japanese game studio is making applicants draw in front of them during interviews to prove they don't use generative AI 🎮 “Only human creators can produce compelling characters and graphics from scratch”

Hey to that one "Voice Actor" on Twitter who keeps complaining about the Banana Fish Ai dub even though they scabbed for a gacha company now unabashedly open about their Ai intentions. This shit is why the OG actors struck. Read the room.

This is why I was not willing to trust any company that isn't willing to put something in writing, and even if they do, they will often budget for violations of those agreements. I don't have a budget for legal fees. They do. Non-union voice work was too big of a risk when they do want they want.

I just wanna grip some of these anti-union/pro-corpo people by the lapel and slap them looneytunes style with their face smear framing going bubububububu, the birds circling and shit and just shout THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU, THEY WILL NOT PICK YOU. YOU ARE NOT A TEMPRORARILY EMBARRASSED BILLIONAIRE

That's actually the purpose of far right youtube grifters getting involved in this drama. It starts with concerns over "mean" voice actors. It turns into gullible fans tuning into these content creators broadly. And their broader goal is just fascism. Or whatever stupid bigotry gets them more clicks

It really sucks all the discourse over the SAG-AFTRA strike was taken over by Hoyo fans, because the world doesn't revolve around Hoyo. It's bigger than just one company. It's about voice acting for video games as a whole. Voice actors work in more than just a few gacha games.

1. Delete your twitter account (am deleting mine tomorrow) 2. Flip to Signal for all your texting, with disappearing messages 3. Push the Bluesky team for private settings 4. Assume you are being monitored in all public and private settings henceforth. 5. Get your affairs in order.

Lately I've been listening to Parousia Diluvi a lot, it's so majestic and powerful

Fell @89fell99.bsky.social · 25/10/2024

It's pretty close, but probably Enkanomiya, the battle music is entrancing and the lore is interesting

Fell @89fell99.bsky.social · 25/10/2024

Natlan is so colorful and so are the characters! I just wish they did the cultural representation a lot better because sheesh that is a mess, why is the nation named for an Aztec word ruled by a Maori god who is now white 😭

Fell @89fell99.bsky.social · 25/10/2024

My first and favorite five star is Diluc. Got him off the Noelle banner too. Most recent was Arlecchino I think? Both really strong Pyro DPS for their time.

I got into it because my friends at the time were into it and I wanted to play more games with them. Unfortunately, we weren't friends for much longer. 😔

A bunch of atheists becoming Christians because they’re freaked out by trans people is the kind of thing I wish I was studying from 200 years in the future rather than experiencing directly.
