Mostly by not reading them, hope that helps! Most of them are just random stuff, I used to be very good at checking my email but then let it devolve. I should probably add some filters and such but just never bothered

Had an idea in the middle of the night for a social media site where theres no timeline, but posts are scattered around, and posts that are similar to each other are closer together, so as you explore in a given direction you find similar posts. Made a little test with fake data. #socialmedia #dev

The book is very good! Big recommend

Read the Project Hail Mary book on the flight to California, I liked it a lot. In general I've just been loving the story in general, I've rewatched the movie what must be 8 times now so glad I had time to read the book.

Oh in that case the bank account is very full, I should invest in a high yield savings account at this rate for friendship bucks

Start stream super early, while youre chatting remove your gel nails, and then do a coworking stream where you finish your book

The sorrow of wanting snacks, but about to be going on a 2 week trip and buying snacks now would be a waste

7ark - Cory @7ark.dev · 11/09/2026

I feel like I've been saying this more and more. But I feel like I wanna move to a point where I work with, and ideally help direct small teams of people on passion projects. Be that making games, twitch/yt content, minecraft stuff, whatever. But I have to find good people to work with!

010

7ark - Cory @7ark.dev · 09/09/2026

Yeah! I thought about this too, though they had been focused on trying to inform the player before they even bought the game, presumably to help avoid them feeling like they bought the wrong game to begin with. But this is a good point too

7ark - Cory @7ark.dev · 09/09/2026

Yeah! Sometimes games arent for everyone, and thats good. I think you have to evaluate the complaint for what it is, see what the issue is, see if theres anything that can be done without compromising the vision, but otherwise just know its not for everyone and thats okay

7ark - Cory @7ark.dev · 09/09/2026

Just some thoughts at a glance from a fellow game developer and designer. Good luck with your game!

...text screen. Allowing for a consistent way, that you teach players, "this is how you learn and explore" could be beneficial. You know your game and how to navigate, but others dont. So "no instructions" is easy for you, but could very overwhelming for others. Even people who like it may need help

100

7ark - Cory @7ark.dev · 09/09/2026

I also think a game with no instructions can be really hard. Wanting to let people figure stuff out is fun! But if theres no help, that could move from fun to frustrating. You may look at some mechanic that allows people to more easily learn what items do, even if its through gameplay and not a...

7ark - Cory @7ark.dev · 09/09/2026

If you look at your short description, it also doesnt really mention this. Players make quick decisions, this short description just says to get creative with the items, so my base assumption, after watching the trailer and just looks here, would probably be the same as the reviewer

7ark - Cory @7ark.dev · 09/09/2026

Congrats on releasing your game! I took a look myself. The trailer shows a lot of things, but doesnt really give me a good idea of what I'm in for. If no instructions is a big aspect, you should put that somewhere in your trailer; way more people watch a trailer than read the descriptions

Imo I think people would be happy to support, I think it's always fun to see people with a goal they're striving towards

As a developer I know it specifically doesnt count towards the stuff like "Very positive" or whatever that shows up, or other stats. So generally it's more of a review for show than substance

Discord bots have kind of become wildly worse over the last couple months I feel like. I run a few different public servers, and basically daily at this point I have to ban people posting the stupid Mr Beast fake scam bot post. It's always the same too. Surely there should be an easier way?
