These aren't prints, they're traditional putty sculpts. They're made with a mix of Milliput and Greenstuff by our sculptor Alan Marsh. Sculpted at scale, they'll be moulded into silicone or rubber, and then the imprints filled with molten pewter to make the casts. More info in alt!

Earlier this week I painted up three mini busts, each about the size of a regular space marine if you will. I used a random piece of art out of a deck of reference cards I had made before to decide the mood and atmosphere for each individual piece. It was so much fun! 🤩

We are DELIGHTED to be working with Jon Hodgson again with this next batch of Backdrop Books.

These backdrops making photographing your miniatures way more fun, shows off your paintjobs excellently (and disguises it a bit if your paint job isn't quite pro, she says, from experience). In an age where most of the people who see your minis is through the computer, you want to do them justice! As well as simply placing behind your models, you can play around making little dioramas and scenes, which I am a huge fan of.

All the art is by human artists Jon Hodgson and Paul Bourne using their human hands.

They're coming very soon and you can opt for any or all of the following:

More Fantasy: The first Backdrop Book which featured fantasy themed landscapes is our best selling title across everything we do, so it's about time we did MORE FANTASY! This is a lovely selection of new fantasy paintings. it's what Jon is best known for really!

Sci-Fi Cityscapes: These focus on urban sci-fi settings, this book presents a variety of vistas from a sprawling sci-fi city.

Horror and Hellscapes: This brings you a series of sinister, spooky and gothic images for all your investigators, vampires, ghouls, turkey mens and other anti-social denizens.

Robot Future: Designed to show off your robot models with zoom lines and suitably techy looking backdrops. It'll also be extra excellent for photographing action figures, which of course you can do (and people do!) with all the books.

And we have all the existing books if you want to check them out before the campaign!
