Are there other components you can ask players to supply along with the standard deck? The way we do it is we just ship rules, everything else you bring (like playing cards), or we give you links to free online print outs

I was debating what term to use, but I generally feel board gamers use theme in the same way genre is used in literature. If I asked what theme is Western Legends, I feel like people would say western not individualism. Maybe themes has different connotations to theme? Language is weird sometimes

at one point, I had read every single book in our library system that was even tangentially a nonfiction book about games. I guess since last I searched the catalogue, a new one snuck in. Excited for it, I’ve heard good things.

How many themes can you add to a tabletop game before it gets messy. I think: - 1: standard and straightforward, not as interesting but let's something else take centre stage - 2: more interesting, I think most should sit here - 3: unique and interesting, but may alienate - 4+: may too much?

Flagrant contains a full playing card sized (52 entries) random table for secret mandates, the largest random table we've been able to get into a zine so far! We even have 3 more for different themes (pirates, cults, and coats of arms) but those didn't fit in the zine....
