With the level of access to everyone's banking and SS accounts stolen by DOGE, payments can be tailored to reward recipients by what party they vote for. The citizen credit score in use by China is on it's way. Data centers come to mind as well.

Repubs don't need to plan for any of this, it's already happened many times before. Autocratic regimes are usually initially successful but the unsustainable corruption and greed mostly leads to collapse. It's the needless suffering during these cycles that our species chooses not to stop.

Left at 17 years old in 1975 for the Navy. Other than a few brief visits, have'nt been back. Still it's a firm foundation for a loner,closest country I found like it was south of France.
