Yeah, they’ll use the same technology. Adobe originally beta tested it on a site called something like Adobe Podcasts or something like that. From experience, I find it particularly struggles with echoey rooms. That’s where it’ll invent random sounds. Dan needs a clip or Madonna mic! 😉

Used to. Not so much these days. I’ve kind of learnt not to spend too much time/emotion finding that perfect first track, then embrace the experimentation (unless there’s a close deadline!). If nothing else “works”, then there’s something deeper at play.

Resolve’s version sounds way more natural and doesn’t seem to invent as many noises. I’ve been using it to fix badly recorded interviews and resyncing in Prem.

@nqatpod.bsky.social Bit of a 🤓 one, but are you using the vocal enhancer in Premiere by any chance? The past few weeks I’ve been hearing odd noises throughout. I find it hallucinates when pushed and wondered if that’s the cause. (If you have it,) check Resolve’s Voice Isolation for better results.

Looking at the generative fill stuff Premiere is introducing, it’s going to make it easier to say “yes, I can do that” when they make, what would be previously, ridiculous requests.
