how wonderful it is to live in a world where new language is constantly being invented to describe our experiences it is fucking annoying sometimes though. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

an 8 panel comic of the artist.

panel 1: the artist asks someone off-panel "are you sure about that?"

panel 2: the artist in 2016, putting up a pansexual and nonbinary flag. "yeah, why?"

panel 3: the artist in 2018, putting up an achillean (men-loving-men) and demiboy flag. "yeah, why?"

panel 4: the artist in 2020, putting up a lesbian and demigirl flag. "yeah, why?"

panel 5: the artist in 2022, putting up a trans and rainbow flag. "yeah, why?"

panel 6: the artist in 2024, putting up a lesbian and androgyne flag. "yeah, why?"

panel 7: the artist of today sighs, with a demiromantic bisexual flag, and a genderfluid flag behind them. "they'll figure it out."

panel 8: the artist is startled by someone speaking to them from off-panel "are you sure about that?"

this was supposed to be expression practice but it evolved into an adult naoto shirogane design 🤷 #digitalart #csp #art

digital art made in clip studio paint. 2 sketches and one vaguely anime-esque lineart drawing of an adult naoto shirogane form persona 4. they have longer hair in a jellyfish cut design that ends around their shoulders.

🎶 All that's left of myself, holes in my false confidence, And now I lay myself down and hope I wake up young again 🎶 #persona4 #p4 #p4r #yosukehanamura

a digital illustration of yosuke hanamura from p4/persona 4. he's looking up and touching the viewers screen which shatters, the shards either showing his canon design (done in black and yellow) or an altered "adult" design (done in full color)

tfw when you procrastinate writing fanfic by drawing fanart of your fanfic #wip

a work in progress/wip digital illustration of the op's persona 4 fanfic "exit doors" done in clip studio paint/csp.

the illustration is cropped from its full size.

an older yosuke hanamura and naoto shirogane are sitting next to each other in a tokyo park. yosuke notably has glass now and longer hair. he looks upset. naoto, meanwhile, also looks uncomfortable, as they drink something from a can. naoto's hair is longer as well.

as this is still a wip, only yosuke has lineart, the rest of the image is a sketch.

keep getting reminded of this post every time i open up my computer

A tumblr post by user clandestinegardenias

"My therapist just told me my problem is that I need to write more fanfiction."

"This sounds fake but the logic behind it is actually really interesting? She said obsession with a new fandom triggers quick dopamine release when we consume all this related content--it's easy and addictive."

"What we're NOT getting is that 'slow dopamine' that's more sustainable and engaging. That's the kind we get from DOING things that take effort but are ultimately rewarding."

"So like, she suggested that writing fic and making fanart are ways to balance the quick dopamine of watching a show/reading fic with the slow dopamine of working at something that takes effort."

"Moral of the story is you should engage in the process of creation around your favorite things. You'll feel better for it."

STOP USING PERSPECTIVE ‼️ - HORIZON WAS NOT MEANT TO BE LINE - YEARS OF RESEARCH and yet NO REAL WORLD USE found for VANISHING POINTS - want to draw backgrounds for a laugh? we had a tool for that is was called PHOTOGRAPH WITH FILTERS. - "just draw boxes" statements made by the utterly DERANGED

literally bawled my eyes out yesterday because she wouldn't boot up despite working PERFECTLY the day before, and then panicking and trying to get a replacement once the doctor (geek squad) announced her time of death. if you're an artist, you understand. #comic #art #digitalart #artistproblems

year 4, 2023 i tried to do a painterly style that year and while the clothes turned out really good...the face was busted, i think we can admit lol. the ambience is incredible though.

another redraw. the colors seem to glow off the page, and the lineart is smooth and varied. however, the shading on the face is awkward and unnatural.

year 3, 2022 this was the year i really started buckling down on learning art instead of just "doing it for fun". i think you can tell in my colors. also was the year i began to fall in love with lineart and crosshatching. tbh this was my favorite christmas redraw so far.

another version of the previous miku art, done in a more flat, cel shaded style, and more manga-esque. the colors are more clearly aligned, but the nose is too small and looks cut off.

year 2, 2021 i was still trying to be anime-esque but it came off looking more american-cartoony. i really thought i cracked the face shading code lol. however the shading on the clothes is nice still with the weird eyes... #digitalillustration #art #throwback

a redraw of the previous christmas miku piece. some writing reads "merry christmas! 2021"

the shading is more like cel shading and the hair is more vibrant but looks platicky. the eyes are still big but they're facing the same direction now. the nose is poorly shaded and looks flat. the lineart is still very stiff and the color is off.

i drew this christmas miku back in 2020 when i was just getting back into digital art. i thought it was soooo good, it's funny how drawing this again every december became some sort of tradition for me #digitalillustration #throwback #art

a pastel illustration of miku in a christmas outfit.

the colors are washed out, the lineart color doesn't match the vibes, and the shading is way too soft. the eyes are also way too big and not facing the same direction.
