28DavesLater @28daveslater.bsky.social · 01/10/2026I tried a few Z axis shunts based on someone else advice and will admit it a few tentative taps on power up on the side but odds are I've been too timid in regards to force required. 310
28DavesLater @28daveslater.bsky.social · 30/09/2026The common complaint seems to be largely on the software side with it needing you to change the safety settings eqch time you get in to avoid getting beeped at constantly. That and the 22KW charger not having any smarts in terms of app connectivity or scheduling Probably things I can live with 010
28DavesLater @28daveslater.bsky.social · 30/09/2026I quite liked driving the UT which was a surprise to me. The EX2 was fine but not as nice or comfy to drive in ways that are hard to quantify. The bang for buck ($ / range) of the UT is hard to go past from my small amount of looking so far. 110
28DavesLater @28daveslater.bsky.social · 30/09/2026ended up finally going for a couple of test drives today. The AION UT, and the Geely EX2. 110
28DavesLater @28daveslater.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Test drove an AION UT Electric car today. The software side on these leaves a bit to be desired, namely the annoying safety features that need to be manually muted each time. However it was comfy, drove really nice compared to some others, and the range for price is really hard to overlook. 000

28DavesLater @28daveslater.bsky.social · 29/09/2026After months taunting me I finally got my Atari PC3 fixed. It had some faulty RAM but after diagnosing and rellacing went into a non booting state. 28DavesLater @28daveslater.bsky.social · 29/09/2026My Commodore 1084 (D) had the switch fail. 28DavesLater @28daveslater.bsky.social · 20/09/2026yeah, I've gotten a little obsessed over them lately, largely due to deep diving and reverse engineering the SwanCrystal. Really would have been better off (community wise) reversing the Color but that is hopefully on the cards soon enough. 110
28DavesLater @28daveslater.bsky.social · 20/09/2026A bit of a hack to fit a momentary switch inside the accesory port to power on and off this Wonderswan Color. 28DavesLater @28daveslater.bsky.social · 05/09/2026I've typically been most interested in science fiction, the otherness is somewhat built in, varied cultures, language, worlds etc in a way that usually doesn't need to pander to an expectation of homogeneity. 28DavesLater @28daveslater.bsky.social · 05/09/2026I have a pet theory that cultural localisation of fiction is a very bad move, narrows peoples views of the world, and is a big reason for the US exeptionalism myth.
