When I was in junior high, we had regular gym classes but on non-gym days, we took Fitness for Living (or FFL as we called it). That's where they taught us self-defence, first aid, and other things that would aid in our overall well-being and safety. That needs to be the norm, not exception.

Farmers have face a conundrum in recent years: They want to make extra money by leasing portions of their land for large-scale renewable energy projects but neighbors fear that farmland is being traded for energy development. But what if there was another way? Enter agrivoltaics.

The oil industry is unwilling to pay for this pipeline because even they know the world is moving away from fossil fuels. This project leaves Canadians bearing all the risks of a bad investment without any of the rewards.

Has anyone checked in on the pundits who said none of this would ever happen because Carney didn't really want a pipeline and he knew that no private investor would pay for it or he assumed that Indigenous communities would block it?

Throwing billions in public money behind a pipeline at a time of climate breakdown – while sweeping aside environmental protections, meaningful Indigenous consultation and workers’ right to strike – is absolutely not in the national interest.
