ニューロンは転写不活性領域を計画的に切断し、直ちに修復して正常発生を続けます。修復を阻害してもニューロンは死にませんが、徐々に脳機能障害が顕れます。哺乳類の発達した脳は、DNA損傷のリスクと向き合いながら進化したと考えられます。(見學美根子) www.nature.com/articles/s41...
