Another cool moment, there were so many during the #BananaBowl game itself. But the Tailgators Head Coach, Joe Mikulik, was introduced as "40 yrs in professional baseball." We got to watch him Having The Best Time on 3rd base line all night.

I encourage folks to watch the full video on one of the Savannah Bananas socials.

I recently learned the word Mudita, which means Vicarious Joy. Last night, it was this moment that I realized we were seeing Live, in real-time, someone's dream coming true. #bananabowl was truly a spectacle.

It far exceeded my expectations. Every inning was a new surprise. The in-game 9th inning concert was crazy!

Such a cool plane! I get excited when I see it.

I was excited when the headline said Hampden, now I know it's even closer!! I've only been once or twice to the Fells Spot.

Yes. I had the exact thought. Validating, but depressing. It feels kinda hopeless to be a fan, because we cannot impact change. And they already have my money for the next season.

The Oriole ownership has finally decided to let us know who they truly are—and the fanbase will be the worse for it…

It's kinda glorious to scroll this morning. Our fanbase loves baseball and is so loyal and fun. We deserve better.

This. He didn't say anything negative. He stated facts.

Aw man, that place FED me when I lived in Mt. Washington. I think there was a $5 Carryout special at the time. :( solid subs and Indian too!

I'm fascinated by this sort of thing, and also photographic memory.

Trying to figure out if I can watch any MLB postseason games. As a season ticket holder who watches almost all games during the regular season, attends around 30-40 home games in-person and travels to see the team, this seems like a slap in the face. Wondering if it's even worth it.

Ugh, someone bought the Ridiculously Expensive hand-carved Loon. It's probably for the best, as I'd been stalking it a while. I would have no problem paying the original artist an amt like that. Just not interested in paying a reseller. The hunt continues! I need one of these for my birding bookcase

Great article. A little frustrating to read, but the season was frustrating to watch. I'm happy players like Bassit gave an honest postmortem on the season. It really sounds like players need to work on discipline and accountability and that the whole team needs to play each game like it's must win.

Other ballparks have this! I first noticed when buying Brewers tickets.

I think it's great to have a place like this for those that want to meet up at the ballpark and socialize. I do hope they add a no alcohol section at some point.

I woild buy a whole calender of Samuel holding kittens. 😄 I hope he adopted a pair.

Showed a non-birder an owl tonight, and went about my walk. I looked back a couple times, and they were standing there in awe. Nature is so amazing!

The kittens are climbing Samuel like he's a cat tree! 😄

Exactly what I was going to say! Only one of them has held a cat before. 😄

Oh, that sounds fun! I briefly scrolled through the ballpark app last week to see how many losses we saw.

If anyone in Maryland or nearby ever comes across one of Bill Coleman's carved loons, please lmk! I really want one, but not for this price. Keep hoping someone downsizing has one, I promise to take amazing care of the loon. ❤️

Have you all watched Wonderfalls?? Only 4 episodes aired on TV and I was so sad when it got canceled. The episodes were later released online and on DVD. My first into to Tracie Thoms (baltimore.)

Maybe save them for a day during the off-season when you miss baseball? ❤️ and need background noise?

That was actually a very cathartic night at the ballpark. I screamed, I cried, I sang, I cheered. I melted in my seat when they didn't initially tell us who won the hot dog race. I said Farewell to our ushers, and hugged them. Told them I hoped to see them again next season.

Michele @1lmichele.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

This game felt like Groundhog Day, multiple times. I almost never sing during the 7th inning stretch, but today I did... and then chaos erupted. Read Dave's take...

Michele @1lmichele.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

I was pretty choked up at the end of the game, when Pete lead the team out to salute the fans. That was all him. And then listening to him speak so earnestly, I'll say it again, Earnestly...abt Baltimore and the fans. I am a Pete AlonsO fan.
