Making my way downtown, walking fast, faces pass, and I’m... probably looking for a field mouse. 🪶🦉🦅 #OhMyDouglas

A juvenile Red-tailed Hawk strides purposefully across a vibrant green lawn, looking directly at the camera with an intense, funny expression. Captured mid-stride with its legs wide apart, its heavily feathered thighs resemble poofy, spotted pants or trousers. The hawk’s white chest features a distinctive "belly band" of brown streaks, and its mottled brown and white wings are tucked tightly against its body. The bright sunlight accentuates its fierce yellow eyes, sharp beak, and yellow talons, contrasting sharply with the soft, out-of-focus grassy background.
