Studies show that people with social anxiety have a higher prevalence of being raised in dysfunctional households. 80% of homeless people have a mental health condition. Social anxiety in particular makes accessing help very difficult. Why is this not part of the wider conversation around housing?🇬🇧🏡

It's heartbreaking to see our young people obtain expensive degrees and then not be able to secure employment in their chosen fields, yet still weighed down with close to £100,000 in student debt.

I've been looking at the global homelessness rates and find them very interesting. There is a bit of an issue with how each Nation measures or defines homelessness but Finland and Japan have incredibly low numbers of homelessness. Housing First works with the political will.

Such a powerful image from Crisis UK. Each heart represents a human being who lost their life while homeless in the UK. We could house everyone tomorrow but the real reason why we don't is purely a political choice, rather than a question of resource or materials. 💔🇬🇧🏡

It’s about tax fairness, I don't buy the guff about putting investors off - people that have money need somewhere to put it and even at say 28%, CGT is a bargain. I’m so done with this ‘oh we mustn’t upset rich people’ narrative - when the issue is simple tax fairness.

1 in 5 children are experiencing mental health problems in the UK & rising. The system, including education, is actively harming them & in some cases, fatally. I urge teachers & healthcare professionals on the frontline to contact their MPs & ask them to urgently reform the system for every UK child
