More #KodakBrownie negatives. These are from the #HalfMoonBay pumpkin weigh-off contest.

The HMB HS Band. They wear orange and black striped outfits.

A pretty big pumpkin on a pallet on a truck trailer.

Another really big pumpkin in the back of truck. Some kids are looking at it. I used an orange-y yellow filter to make the pumpkin pop; maybe overdid it, in that it looks white. But the dark sky is nice.

Down the road, in Pescadero. A corrugated metal shed painted with giant flowers.

Newly scanned #KodakBrownie negatives. The first batch are from the bus graveyard in Williams, CA.

A really old bus, with a long hood, falling apart and disappearing into the weeds.

A row of busses. There's a few that I think are GM 50's and 60's vintage (which have a body style vaguely ripped off from PCC streetcars, except much flatter ends).

I was looking for some glue and found this one. The Hobby House has been gone a couple years. I miss those guys. During the 2020 lockdown, they did walkup sales at their door. Couldn't browse, but if you needed glue or paint or something you could describe, you could get it.

Biked around 3rd St & Bayview in SF (a neighborhood I was advised to keep out of as a kid). Saw some neat stuff.

The front part of this house looks like a 1906 earthquake shack.

Nicely painted little truck. Back door has a chill lion smoking something. Seems to say Dzyer.

An old bus that's slightly pink. I don't think on purpose, I think the paint has just faded this way.

In Williams, CA, there's a "bus graveyard". The owner was around and I chatted a bit. If you have a really old bus, this is the place to find parts for it.

Two of BART's predecessors: a "Bridge Unit" (these once ran over the Bay Bridge) and an East Bay trolley.

Two big windows, a narrow door in between, and a diamond pantograph on the roof.

It's kinda boxy. Has a bow-tie design painted on the front.

Developed and scanned my latest roll of film from the #KodakBrownie. I get 8 shots per roll. It's 7 trains and 1 cat. I visited the Western (Electric) Railway Museum (near Rio Vista, CA) last weekend. They have some of the original BART fleet trains on display now. #SFBART

A paint-peeling and graffitied diesel up on a viaduct in San Carlos, CA.

It's lettered (in peeling letters) "Cotton Belt" which was an SP subsidiary (officially St Louis Southwestern, or SSW). It follow the late SP ¨bloody nose" pattern of being dark gray/dusty black except for a bright red splotch on the front. This one has a yellow stripe under the cab window for it's official post-merger UP numbering (but even that is peeling).

From @sfcriticalmass tonight. Yeah, that's an #sfmuni trolley... and #SpiderMan. I actually saw Spidey riding around on a non-CM ride a few days ago, and chatted him up before we started tonight. Turns out he lives in my old neighborhood. #criticalMass

A bunch of bikers riding up Market St. A Muni PCC (painted green and yellow, memorializing LA's streetcar system) is coming the other way. And Spider-Man is riding ahead of me!

Imagine a concrete Arch bridge, like the famous Bixby Creek Bridge. But instead of putting the arches under the roadway, this bridge has them along each side, and way higher than the roadway, and it is suspended by vertical members.

Going on right now in #RedwoodCity. The San Mateo County History Museum has completed construction of an extension to house a collection of carriages. And today they are lifting carriages to the second floor by crane. Took some Brownie pics, then went home for my Super-8 camera.

Green and cream #SFmuni bus! I chased it down on my bike for a picture. The driver waved so I yelled NICE BUS!!! I think it's just a wrap to advertise Muni heritage weekend in September. Hate to nitpick but the yellow is too yellow....

A modern Muni bus painted (or wrapped) like the old green and cream PCC streetcars. Except the front is still gray. Probably to avoid messing with the bike rack.

At the start of summer vacation my son and I set a goal of biking over the hill to #HalfMoonBay. Well, school starts on Wednesday and Tuesday's busy. Cheated a little and took a bus up the first hill. There's plenty more.

This is Echo Lake. Or properly Lower Echo Lake (there's two lakes connected by a channel). Right at the top of the ridge as you leave or enter the Tahoe basin. I've seen it on maps but never been here before. Need to come back.

A lovely mountain lake. Quite long and skinny. Surrounded by pines and granite.
