Bluesky is just not as decentralized as they claim. All severs must go through a "central" relay so all the events can be correlated to each other. Mastodon uses another well established protocol, ActivityPub which is truly decentralized due to how it works.

So apparently my issues with posts showing up on the verified dgg user feed have resolved themselves. It seems that I have caught up to the "live" feed and posts are added much qucker. The CPU usage of the feed generator is really low right now because I don't have to go through all remaining items

For those of you wondering why it takes so long for your posts to show up on the verified dgg user feed: I am reading the Bluesky firehose and am going through ~1000 commits per second. Every time I am querying the DB for posts that contain your DIDs (your globally unique user id) 1/?

Planning to add a simple form of moderation for the verified dgg user feed. The banned property will just hide your posts from the custom feed. This is just future proofing in case @cake.sh or @destiny.gg would want to moderate the custom feed. #dgg #dggl #daliban
