After Click to Cancel died, Sirius XM's C-suite got on a call with their shareholders to project "better outcome(s) as a result of not having that in place." Sirius believed that a rule that made it easy for customers to resign from their monthly subscriptions would hurt its business.

Put another way: Sirius believes that its profits come in part from the fact that dissatisfied customers can't figure out how to cancel their service.
