📣This fantastic article by Marlene Galván is another perfect read for this #WomensHistoryMonth! 🔗https://constell8cr.com/issue-4/dancing-with-the-devil-revisited/ #TeamRhetoric #RhetComp #AcademicSky #WritingStudies #WomensMonth

A postcard celebrating women’s history month. The title and author of an article are listed: “‘Dancing with the Devil Revisited.’ An article by Marlene Galván.” There is a quote featured: “Dancing with the Devil affirms this conception of the stranger as the unfamiliar, the unnatural outsider, enticing women to join him in dance, warning others: this is what happens when you break the seemingly natural boundaries of the community established by traditional religious and cultural institutions. The stranger is a metaphor that becomes real, created to quell the anxiety felt by established norms and institutions during the Chicanx Movement of the 1960s and 1970s. But, the story lives on even today.” There is a photo of a necklace with a picture charm a man and a woman smiling.
