The purpose of the new Lurie Autism Institute is to expand research already being done at CHOP and Penn, form a global hub for research, and attract more scientists to the field.

I'm not sure how to feel about this. 1. The government is pulling funding while rich ppl step in, but we don't always know their motives. 2. Are they the "autistic ppl are broken & need a cure" type? (eww.) or the "how can we support autistic needs and improve diagnosis for girls" type?
