And, just a (macabre) reminder to owners w/ more than 1 dog: If it's time to say goodbye to a dog in your home, bring that dog's closest 4-legged companion to the vet. That one will say goodbye & will communicate the loss to any others. It cuts down on mourning time AND confusion.
