Lots of people lost their jobs over this. Students lost badly needed resources. And the people who got f’d over were disproportionately already marginalized, underpaid & trying harder than they should’ve had to just to do their jobs in environments that were uncaring at best if not outright hostile

And afterwards it's all "we were forced to do this", "we were scared" or "we didn't know" and all the other stuff people say when blindly following a fascist doesn't pan out as expected, ashamed to admit that they are bigots behind a veneer of Respectability.

The silver lining is that we know who they are. My daughter is going off to college next year and that 100% factored into her decision to eliminate a couple of those schools from her list of applications.
