A lot of disease specialists thought the next pandemic was going to be bird flu, could it be pneumonia? I know most say another is inevitable.

Just FYI pneumonia is a condition caused by many different pathogens. Pneumonic plague is caused by Yersinia pestis which is a bacteria and can be transmitted airborne in that condition but can be treated with antibiotics if treatment is instituted early. Hopefully it can be contained.

This assumes standard pneumonic plague. The Soviets weaponized that to evade both vaccines and standard plague treatments. So, let’s hope it’s the standard one and that it is contained.
