To me, this gets to the heart of much of the nationalist & right wing approach to fighting antisemitism. They really don't believe it can be rooted out: they only define it as a personal sin as opposed to a societal dynamic that can be addressed. And it's why they fail at fighting it so badly.

You can't "fight antisemitism" as it's the irrational belief of fact-impervious losers. Instead, we can only fight antisemites—a luxury that Zionism, Israel, and the IDF finally affords the Jews after 2,000 years of cringing and apologia. Netanyahu gets this. Impressive speech.

as a jew, it is really difficult to “fight antisemitism” these days when antisemitism has been judicially redefined as “opposing a genocide perpetrated in the name of jews.” even when i hear someone say “the jews are committing a genocide” i have to think about whether i should argue the point
