I'm stealing Chichester's press shots just to show off one of the transitions between BFG human and puppet, every single time the change was magic. Not pictured here is small-puppet BFG, for when the big giants got human actors and the human characters got even smaller!

The Big Friendly Giant, played by human actor John Leader, faces off against an even bigger puppet giant in the foreground, while a roughly 18 inch puppet of a child in pyjamas stands on a rock next to him.

The Big Friendly Giant, played by a roughly fifteen foot puppet, stands by a human-sized spiny cucumber, while a human child actor in the foreground cowers on the floor.
