years ago, writing about DRC (Zaire as was) I was in touch with a guy who'd jumped ship from Mobutu's security service. He was in exile, some of his colleagues were too, some had stayed inside, covertly holding the line, each making their own judgment call. US now, Zaire under a despot. Hmm.
