What's the difference between "community" and "friends and family"? Is the idea that pubs should be facilitating the creation of "weak ties", acquaintances that are outside that core community.
@willcooling.bsky.socialMaybe its me but I've gotta be honest, I don't see the "builds community" argument for pubs. I've pretty much always gone in with my friends or family, and left with those same people. And it always sure seems like everyone else is doing the same thing too.
