when the Jets drafted Sam Darnold his OC/QB coach was Jeremy Bates who has not been hired to any job in football since. then they fired the coaching staff and hired Adam Gase who also has not been hired to any job in football since. no i'm not mad about it

There are so many horrendous NFL head coaches who still have legit jobs in football it is genuinely impressive to not find something

This is a great excuse to watch the Adam Gase taco video and a reminder that Woody hired him because noted Jets legend Peyton Manning told him to.

Bates was out of football *before* he got hired by the Jets! He was literally living in the woods!

Then he was acquired by the Matt Rhule panthers. Matt Rhule is currently still working on his first top 25 win.

Fascinated by coaches who were so bad they never worked in football again. Dave Shula went from the head coach of the Bengals to managing his dad's restaurants.

I hate the Jets so much. But I love this for Sam! Probably the closest NYJ fans will ever feel to a SB!

Even Joe Judge still has a coaching job! He's bad at it but he has it!

Woody Johnson (and sons) are woefully inept at running a franchise. If it weren’t for the board, SCJohnson would have been out of business decades ago

What do you expect from a franchise owned by a guy who let his 19 year old son, who goes by Brick have a say in football operations?
