I do see that, I just disagree with the article. If the company sells any Bitcoin they'd have to adjust the number of outstanding shares or update the share price. I guess that is doable but I'm sure they'd get a ton of customer calls asking why the adjustments made them no money lol

The share price of ETF does change during trading day to reflect change in price of btc. Share prices of ETFs fluctuate like stocks, else how would profit/loss occur? From article regarding adjusting number of shares: "then the APs create or redeem ETF shares" Similar to spot gold backed ETF.

I meant about how a stock price is effected by a split. So if a company holds 10 BTC and issued 1000 shares to reflect the price of it, the price would have to be adjusted if they sell a BTC and still have 1000 shares. The ETF holder wouldn't gain or lose anything but the price would change.
