Book 19 of 2026 Red City by Marie Lu One of the gems of 2025 fantasy. Alchemical syndicates akin to mafia families secretly pulling the levers of power in a close to real world setting. The tag line ‘Power always has its price’ perfectly describes the gradual erosion of the soul. 💙📚🪐

An intricate cover featuring a crimson art-deco winged lion with each section outlined in gold. The head of the lion is at the boundary between the top third and central third and is framed by an equilateral triangle and concentric circles. Additional golden circles overlay parts of the design creating an intricate but stylised design. My edition also has fabulous sprayed edges.

Book 18 of 2026 Apparently Sir Cameron Needs To Die by @greerstothers.bsky.social Picked as a lighter read and thoroughly enjoyed this comic romantasy. Destroying the world or saving it depending on your perspective. Perfect for fans of Alexandra Rowland. 🪐📚💙 🌈📚 🌈🚀💫
