I wish people understood how easy it is to simply block artists or mute tags compared to how much work someone has to put into writing a statement that won't even sway the perception of folks who insist on being wrong and angry at artists, for their own failure to dissociate fiction from reality...

Recently had to deal with this myself, though thankfully it was mostly respectful in the end barring a few nasty DMs. Still, it sucks some people even do stoop to harassment and posts like these are needed to mitigate it. I'm sorry.
