Oleander Craw @oleandercraw.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Yes, it's slower to build your own thing. You don't have the built in audience big platforms bring. But that's what creatives on the internet have been doing since the beginning. You need a foundation that is yours and no one can take from you. 121 2
Oleander Craw @oleandercraw.bsky.social · 23/09/2026I feel like I am starting to see people turn back toward their own websites, and I really want to encourage this, as well as encourage readers to explore. Get curious and get off the siloed platforms. Take a chance on a writer or artist doing their own thing. 110 1
Jae Koyanagi @jaekoyanagi.com · 23/09/2026Yes to all of this!! My website is extremely bare bones right now but it was important to me that I keep it up and running as a central hub for my writing. Anything can happen to any of these other platforms at any time. 231 3
