"I know!" — you think — "I'll get into color management!" Your soul immediately leaves your body, never to return. (These are all different)

Screenshot of a dark-themed “HEVC Range Extensions 4:4:4 color probe” web interface. The page compares a Reference PNG, BT.709 video, sRGB canvas, and Display P3 canvas using matching color bars, RGB gradients, grayscale ramps, and fine test patterns. Controls at the top include a “Run probe” button and a “Color / gradients” scene selector, with a note that decoded output may not be color-identical. Below the four comparison panels is a “Peel comparison” section with source selectors and a slider for visually comparing the Reference PNG against the sRGB canvas.

Color management, text rendering, timezones: the S tier of "I hope someone else already handled this properly"

Add film scanning and sensor debayering if you want a physical element to your programming hell. Bonus if you also need to account for the pixel layout of your display.
