I've had a quick skim through this and there is a huge number of things to think about.
1. Relationships are critical. Still way too much helicopter decision making.
2. Peers are trusted. Which goes to Point 1. re relationships.
3. Much of the distrust can be traced back to economic incentives.
We talked to farmers in a South Island community and found: (1) mistrust in climate science and scientists, (2) mistrust in government, (3) mistrust of the mainstream media and (4) a sense of responsibility and care for their farms. #ClimateChange
