I don't have a problem with this decision.
There are more than 50 bird species in AoNZ with a higher threat status than kororā. They get priority.
Limited resources means triaging is critical.
I get that kororā are cute, but that shouldn't drive conservation decisions.

Kaikōura’s little penguins left off bird flu vaccine list
The Kaikōura Wildlife Centre Trust and local councils have called for the little penguin / kororā to be included in the Department of Conservation’s H5N1 vaccination programme.
