I keep trying to come up with a good way to discuss the tender subject of exclusively gay male spaces becoming more mixed gender, but I can't find an articulate way to do it. But someone posting "Who here likes MILFs?" in the Gay DILF channel really just sums it all up.

It’s definitely a minefield, but I share the same concern. It boils down to something like gentrification. We’ve done all the hard work. Created our own spaces. Developed our own community. Then the straights arrive like locusts whining about being excluded yet have done nothing and do nothing.

I'll never forget a discussion with some local queer friends. One of them said "I don't get it, why is there a kink space for everyone and then a kink space for just gay men?" My boyfriend and I simultaneously answered without even looking at each other, "we're excluded from the space for everyone"
