I don't think I have to tell most people who follow me why libraries are important, or that they're under threat in the UK. But I want to make sure everyone knows Lambeth libraries are going on strike and there's a solidarity hardship fund HERE linktr.ee/savelambethl... #KidlitUK #SaveLibraries

Can someone explain and make this make sense? This is a ‘statutory requirement’. Any #solicitors on #bluesky, how is this possible?

If you can make it down to support the strike in person, they're meeting Weds 2nd July (next wed), from around 11am at Brixton Library on Windrush Square! #SaveLibraries #KidLitUK

Without revealing too much, I work pt at a library and the pressures put on us are immense, whilst actual funding is in short supply. The majority of us in our area are on minimum wage, and many of us fear cuts will reduce us to a skeleton crew. It's genuinely heartbreaking as we do love our work.
