I’d suggest it’s unlikely to be just focus groups. That wouldn’t give you the statistical depth you’d need to understand trade offs.

Fair point. I’m not analytical and conjoint analysis sounds a more robust way of testing a hypothesis. The Tories courted pensioners with the triple lock. I suspect the reverse calculation is being made: engage a younger demographic to swing elections but first you have to engage them. #r4today
