I worked in both the education sector (specifically within a large examinations and publishing entity) and tech (content writing) post PhD. Off the bat, create a industry/position specific cv that highlights your skill set over experience if you're moving fields

Research administration/research development can be great post-academic career options (I work in a role that combines both, and I see a lot of job openings in both fields right now).
