But "they just need training" is even more useless advice when the situations presented in training do not match up with the situations experienced in the system. There is simply no universal method that works in all circumstances, other than "hit da bricks." Those circumstances need to be created.

Unfortunately this situation produces a certain type of grifter - let's call them toxic generalists - who relies on this complexity to wheel and deal their way through systems. The toxic generalist only needs to know a little more than nothing to pass as an expert. That's where AI comes in.

Excellent add on to the thread. Powerpoint ronin have a sacred omertà. They often cross paths but never involve civilians in their disputes by revealing that one of them is full of shit - because both of them are full of shit.

In the tech world it's kind of a "game sees game" thing. Everyone is doing hyperstitional product marketing bullshit all the time, and calling any of it out is *rude* because everyone is supposed to support everyone else's grift all the time
