Explaining Agile is pointless. There has never been anything more accessible to the average keyboard warrior than thinkpieces on the basics of doing Agile. At this point, everyone knows what it is. The question is always: why didn't it work *every other time we tried this?*

I’ve tried to explain it before as the Ant Problem. If an ant can lift stuff a jillion times its size, why can’t we scale that up? Well, because scaling changes things, and the 5-story-tall-ant is crushed under the weight of its own limbs, let lone anything bigger.

This is the Anna Karenina principle at work: every dysfunctional company is dysfunctional *in its own way.* The average Powerpoint ronin has no insight whatsoever into the nuances of your particular swamp. Someone in your org has 100% tried to adopt Agile. What was the breakdown?
